What is paracord?
Paracord is a lightweight, durable nylon cord originally designed for parachute suspension lines. Today, it's popular for many types of handmade gear because of its strength, flexibility, and wide variety of colors and patterns.
At The Wagging Workshop, we use paracord to handcraft our dog collars and bracelets, creating colorful, comfortable, and unique designs with plenty of personality.

Are paracord collars strong enough for large dogs?
Paracord is known for its strength and durability, and our handmade paracord collars can be a great option for many dogs, including larger breeds.
However, the overall strength of a collar also depends on the buckle, D-ring, construction, fit, and your dog's individual size and pulling habits. No collar is indestructible.
For strong pullers, highly active dogs, or dogs that place significant force on their collar, we recommend using appropriate walking equipment designed for your dog's specific needs.

Each collar is individually woven and assembled by hand using durable paracord, a buckle, and D-ring. Because our collars are handmade, you may notice slight variations from one collar to another—that's part of what makes each one unique!

Are your collars adjustable?
No. Our handmade paracord dog collars are non-adjustable, which is why choosing the correct size is so important.
Before ordering, carefully measure your dog's neck and use the sizing information provided on our website. For custom orders, we'll make the collar based on the neck measurement you provide.

Can my paracord collar get wet?
Yes! Paracord can get wet, but we recommend removing your dog's collar before swimming or bathing whenever possible to help keep it looking its best.
If the collar does get wet, allow it to air dry completely before your dog wears it again. Avoid using high heat or placing it in the dryer, as this could damage the paracord or hardware.

How do I clean my paracord collar or bracelet?
Keeping your paracord collar or bracelet clean is easy! 🐾
For everyday dirt, gently hand wash with lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap. Use a soft cloth or soft-bristled brush to gently clean any areas that need a little extra attention.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue, gently press out excess water, and allow the item to air dry completely.
To help protect the paracord, buckle, and hardware, avoid bleach, harsh cleaners, high heat, and machine drying.
For dog collars, always check the paracord, buckle, and D-ring for wear or damage before putting the collar back on your pup.

Are the colors fade resistant?
Paracord is known for its vibrant, long-lasting colors, but some fading may naturally occur over time with regular use and exposure to sunlight, water, dirt, and the outdoors.
To help keep your collar or bracelet looking its best, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight when not in use, clean it with mild soap and water, and allow it to air dry completely.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Since many of our products are handmade or personalized, your order will have both a processing time and a shipping/delivery time. 🐾
Processing Time
This is the time it takes The Wagging Workshop to prepare, make, personalize, and package your order.
• Ready-to-ship items: 2–3 business days
• Custom or personalized items: 5–7 business days
Shipping & Delivery Time
This begins after your order has been completed and shipped. Delivery times vary depending on the shipping carrier, destination, weather, and other carrier-related delays.
For example, a custom collar with a 5–7 business day processing time will ship after it has been handmade and prepared. The carrier's delivery time is then added to the processing time.
Please keep this in mind when ordering for birthdays, holidays, or other special occasions. During busy seasons, processing times may occasionally be longer.

Can I return or exchange my order?
Because many of our products are handmade and customized just for you and your pet, custom and personalized items are not eligible for returns or exchanges. This includes custom-sized paracord dog collars, personalized laser-engraved dog tags, and custom paracord bracelets.
Please carefully review all measurements, sizes, spelling, phone numbers, colors, and personalization details before placing your order.
For non-custom items, please contact The Wagging Workshop within 14 days of delivery if you would like to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused and in their original condition. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or an error was made by us.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or we made a mistake with your customization, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work with you to make it right.
